I like this video because it adds humors but it is also informational. I wish it was over 3 man mechanic instead of 2 man. A lot of university use 3 man mechanics for their student officials.

Sites that would be useful for a Higher Education Professional working in Collegiate Club Sports

National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) (http://www.ncwa.net/)

The NCWA is the national governing body for college wrestling teams. If you follow college athletics, you would know that many athletic departments of universities are dropping their college wrestling programs. Student –ran wrestling clubs are being formed throughout the country so that they can continue to wrestle after high school. Kennesaw State University, my alma mater and the location of my internship, hosted the NCWA South Eastern Conference championship last weekend. We had 119 student wrestlers, from universities in the southeastern part of the country, competing in various weight classes.

National Cheer Association (NCA) (http://www.nationalspirit.com/) The NCA is the national governing body for cheerleading. College cheerleading isn’t governed by the NCAA. At Kennesaw State, our two time Division II NCA cheerleading team is governed by our collegiate club sports program.

American Collegiate Ice Hockey Association (ACHA) (http://www.achahockey.org/) ACHA is the governing body for collegiate club hockey teams. Both Western Illinois University and Kennesaw State University have club ice hockey teams. The club hockey team at KSU is headed to Grand Rapids, Michigan next week for the National ACHA Championship Tournament.

Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) (http://mcla.us/) The Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) is a national governing body for non-intercollegiate, varsity lacrosse programs. The MCLA governs 213 teams in two divisions, across ten conferences in the United States and Canada.

National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association (NCRHA) (http://www.ncrha.org/) The NCRHA is the national governing body for collegiate roller hockey. Both Western Illinois University and Kennesaw State University have club roller hockey teams. CommentDelete

I’m still here!!!

Well, I decided to start back blogging…hopefully one day I will become the black Bill Simmons. You may want to know what I’ve been up to. Well, since my last blog, I’ve graduated from Kennesaw State, went to Western Illinois to work as a Graduate Assistant for intramural sports, and back to Kennesaw State to do an internship for sport clubs and intramurals. I’m currently taking two online instructional technology classes to aid in my future working in campus recreation. I’m still happy unmarried without children. lol Ok back to the blogging….
